Route 15 is another common area for motor vehicle accidents.  During the same 3 year study there were 201 crashes that occurred between Silas Deane Highway and I-84 Eastbound in East Hartford.  During this time frame there were 61 injuries and tragically, 3 fatalities.  The most common type of accident in this corridor were with fixed objects totaling at 98.  Rear-end collisions accounted for 50 crashes and there were 43 sideswipes.
