This client was involved in a minor fender bender with another vehicle, and he had pulled over to call emergency dispatch. A police officer arrived and his cruiser struck Mr. Tehrani’s client as he was waiting behind his own disabled vehicle. Mr. Tehrani’s client sustained damage to his back and knees as a result of the accident. While Mr. Tehrani’s client did not sustain any permanent injuries, he did have to seek medical treatment and undergo physical therapy for almost a full year, thus increasing the pain and suffering element of the award.
December 2021: Obtained a $285,000 verdict for a client who was struck by a motor vehicle in the crosswalk. Client initially fractured her wrist as a result of the accident, and then she developed bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands and thoracic outlet syndrome in her left shoulder. Defense attorneys fought us on liability arguing that our client was outside the crosswalk, and that she never even got hit by a car. They also argued all of our client’s injuries were pre-existing and that she was not as injured as she claimed to be. Client’s total medical bills were only $22,000. Last offer prior to trial was $100,000, and we decided it to reject it and take our chances at trial. Despite all the difficulties we faced with this case, after 3 days of trial, we managed to secure a $285,000 verdict for our client.
November 2021: Client was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident in April of 2019 when she was struck by another vehicle who ran its red light in an intersection. Client sustained head, neck and back injuries as a result of the accident, and after 1 year of treatment, her injuries resolved. The at fault driver only had a $30,000 policy, and State Farm refused to settle the case for the at fault driver’s policy limits despite our demands. We ended up filing suit, and shortly after our client was deposed, and I wrote State Farm a demand letter demanding the policy limits, or risk having their insured hit with an excess verdict, State Farm finally offered the full policy limits of $30,000 to settle the case.
August 2021: Represented husband and wife who were rear ended on the highway by another car and driven off the road. Clients sustained head, neck and back injuries, and conservative treatment, all their injuries resolved. Client’s had a total of $13,000 in total bills, and we managed to get them a $34,000 verdict at trial.
April 2021: Client was struck head on by another driver who’s car hydroplaned and crossed the double yellow lines and entered our client’s lane. Client’s vehicle smashed beyond recognition. Client sustained superficial chest and abdomen injuries from the seat belt, as well as head, neck and back injuries. 1 year after the accident, we learned she also sustained a torn right rotator cuff. Erie insurance who insured the at fault driver, fought us on the cause of the right shoulder injury, but after intense back and forth spanning 4 month, we managed to convince Erie that the right rotator cuff injury was related to the accident. Client incurred $30,000 in medical bills and we managed to settle her case for $95,000.
April 2021: Client stopped at red light and rear ended. He sustained a minor sprain of his ACL, and neck and back injuries. After 8 months of physical therapy and treatment, we settled the case for the policy limits of $50,000.
March 2021: Our client was involved in an accident while she was a passenger in a vehicle that hit a disabled vehicle on the shoulder. As a result of the accident, client sustained a subdural hematoma (brain bleed), fractured neck, and torn rotator cuff. After 2 years of therapy and pain management, our client managed to make a full recovery. Our client sustained a total of $65,000 in medical bills and we managed to settle her case for $450,000.
February 2021: Our client was rear-ended while sitting in stop-and-go traffic on her way to pick up her daughter from daycare. She sustained head and back injuries and she incurred $5,600 in medical bills. State Farm refused to offer more than $7,200 in settlement, so we filed suit. After a 1 hour trial, we obtained a $15,000 settlement for our client.
March 2020. Our client was hit head-on by an 18-year old driver who skid on black ice. As a result of the accident, our client ended up in the ICU for 2 weeks for a fractured rib cage, and other internal injuries, and fractured knee cap. After 2 years of physical therapy and pain management, our client managed to make a somewhat full recovery and returned to work as a landscaper. Our client had $110k in medical bills and we managed to resolve his case for $675k.
November 2018: Our client was driving to work and was rear ended by another driver while stopped at a stop sign. The client’s vehicle sustained no property damage whatsoever, but he felt immediate pain in his neck and lower back, and tingling in his hands. He was treated for 2 month and racked up $6,000 in medical bills with an orthopedic doctor and a physical therapist. GEICO, who insured the at-fault driver, offered $0 pre-trial because our client’s car had no body damage. We ended up going to trial and we secured a $15,300 verdict.
May 2017: Our client was struck in an intersection by a distracted driver who was texting and driving and entered the intersection against a red light. Our client sustained a fractured wrist that had to be operated on. She healed after he surgery and obtained physical therapy. She incurred $30,000 in medical bills as a result of the surgery and treatment. We settled her case for $130,000.
Our client, a bicyclist, was struck by a truck driver who traveled the wrong way around a roundabout. Our client sustained a concussion, a fractured shoulder blade, and permanent damage to the nerve in his shoulder as a result of the accident. The insurance company for the at-fault driver only offered $72,500 in pre-suit settlement discussions, but once we filed the lawsuit and a defense attorney got assigned, we were able to convince them to raise their settlement offer to $200,000 with one phone call.
